I’ve been dieting, and as part of that, I’ve been very carefully measuring everything when cooking. We needed to start measuring anyway so we could get accurate recipes on the site, but the dieting part really pushed me along. Because even when I’m not cooking, it’s a good idea to know exactly how much protein I’m about to consume.
I’ve been using a little white spring loaded kitchen scale for a couple of years, and it does the job for the most part. It definitely has its limits, especially weight limits (two pounds.) Ed decided I needed a better scale so he purchased a digital scale for me.
This thing is awesome! And it looks cool! But mostly, it’s awesome. It works great, is easy to use and reset, and isn’t ugly enough to warrant being shoved into a cabinet when not in use. It’s not prohibitively expensive and can be used for more than food.
